ECA Range of Packaged Water Chillers
ECFS Free Cooling Chillers

The ECA range of packaged water chillers can be supplied as follows:

• With axial fans (ECA).
• With centrifugal fans for ducting of warm condenser air away when the unit is internally sited within a plant room or in the centre of a factory (ECC)
• Water cooled when factory ambient water is available from either cooling towers, air blast coolers or adiabatic units (ECW).
• Low noise for residential or problematic noise pollution areas (ECT).
  
  

As standard the units come complete with large water tanks and stainless steel process pumps. The units can be individually tailored to meet any requirements with regard to flow (with temperature differences between flow and return as low as 1°C), pressure up to 10bar, water temperature as low as -20°C to +30°C and control to +/- 0.5°C. Units are designed as standard to operate from -20°C to +50°C ambients with varying refrigerants, including R404A, R407C and R134A.

Energy saving internally mounted free cooling coils are available on models 030-180 (our ECFS range, details shown in the table below)

 

 

 

 

ELECTRICAL CONTROL AND

• High Refrigerant Pressure Switch with Manual Reset Audible and Visual Alarms available.
• Low Refrigerant Pressure Switch with Automatic Reset Audible and Visual Alarms available.

• Pump Pressure Gauge.
• Refrigerant low Pressure Gauge (ECA 012 and above).

ENERGY SAVING
Approved for listing on the Government’s Energy Technology List (ETL). Officially recognised as energy efficient, allowing clients to qualify for up-front tax relief through the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme.

FRAME
The frame and panels for all external units (ECA 012 onwards) are galvanised steel, etched and epoxy coated to 60 microns. All panels are removable and can be supplied in aluminium upon request. Special colours available.

REFRIGERANT COMPRESSOR
Hermetic reciprocating compressors are used on all models up to ECA 016. Models ECA 022 upwards come with high efficiency hermetic scroll compressors.

EVAP0RATOR
High efficiency, dry expansion, coaxial or shell & tube type evaporators reduce the risk of blockage. Also available in stainless steel upon request



CONDENSER COIL
Generously sized condenser to cope with high ambient conditions Copper/copper- coils and dust filter available upon request.

CONDENSER FANS
ECA Axial
ECC Centrifugal.
ECT Low speed axial for reduced noise levels.
ECW water cooled condensers.
Fan speed control option for low ambient and outdoor use.

• Filter Dryer
• Liquid Line Solenoid Valve.
• Sight Glass
• Liquid Receiver and Pressure Relief Valve.
